As 2018 marks the 10th Anniversary of Nouveau Wellbeing, throughout the year we have been hosting various events to celebrate including our popular Pop Up Dance Classes!
August brought a month of Nouveau Wellbeing Pop Up Dance Classes across the North East! Our venues this month included Captain Cook Shopping Centre in Middlesbrough and Castle Dene Shopping Centre in Peterlee. At both events we had lots of fun dancing with our young N-Dance members and passers-by.
At Nouveau Wellbeing our aim is to make health and fitness accessible to all in the local community. Our pop up classes enabled us to introduce local people to our services and one of the styles of class we teach. It was great to see our message of fitness and wellbeing promoted to the public! Lots of people stopped to watch, take photos and take part!
Our Pop Up Dance Classes were Dancercise, a fun mix of jazz dance and aerobics. This meant that passers by could simply follow along with our instructor and give the class a try! At Middlesbrough we gathered quite a crowd as we had lots of children participate in our high energy routines. At Peterlee we had around 25 adults and children join in with our class in the middle of the shopping centre. Staff from the surrounding shops even joined our conga line as we skipped around the centre!
Our N-Dance members performed their own routines too- they gathered quite a crowd! At Nouveau we love inspiring individuals of all ages to dance and keep fit. It’s amazing to see our participants developing dance skills, confidence and fitness levels and watching them encourage and inspire others to start their own health journey too!
